Collage: Paper, Found Objects, Black & White and Engraving on Paper.

I use original 19th century books and magazines to create collages that reflect on contemporary society. They are often set in dystopian worlds but comment on contemporary issues. I use only original 19th century engravings, scissors and occasionally scalpels!

I've been influenced by the collages of Max Ernst, and I've used the same techniques that Ernst used when creating what has been called the first graphic novel "Une Semaine De Bonté", a surrealistic novel in collage.
