Sticks and Stones is about race relations in America. Slave trade ships that are a part of many African American's family history of being brought to this country. Fueled by hate and violence by white nationalists during the Trump presidency resulted in huge BLM protests against the hate groups. This mixed media painting is a conversation about black lives matter, and the need to heal.
