My art is inspired by images from outer space caught by Hubble space telescope and by the moiré pattern found in photographs in old newspapers, and it is technically based on the behavior of colors in the human brain. I paint imaginary stellar landscapes made entirely of drops of paint. By observing these paintings, one can achieve a state of relaxation and meditation induced by the light of the colors. While dripping paint over the canvas, I create many layers of colors which interact with each other allowing viewers to experience a sense of mind expansion. I want my art to help people to realize that “we are are not IN the universe but we ARE the universe and ultimately, each one of us is a focal point where the universe becames conscious of itself”--Miguel Ram
