ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Medium: Encaustic (Framed) This piece is a combination of images found through public domain, and a photograph I took of a male model. Each are printed as laser prints, and transferred into an encaustic (wax) medium. It's surprisingly not really about an after death experience - it's generally about a need to get to the direct cause of a matter, the alleviation of pain/suffering, and the recovery of hurt/trauma.

I enjoy the wide range of possibilities inherent in this technique - the evocative and distressed tones, and especially the additive and subtractive qualities that come along with the process.
