About The Artwork

Violence on a woman without face. Without personality, because it was destroyed and removed. Her body is tense. Her body is tied. Her body is defenceless. Her body is just meat. Arrow and arm. Arrow like a penis. And the penis has no body, no face. A slight, white paper is covering an invisible, cruel, male world. The whole scene is immersed in a white, empty space. The whole scene is immersed in a wide, deafening indifference. (Fulvio Celico) PS: The black border is only present in the photograph.

In my work I want to take the small signs that life presents us every day, not the macro-systems, but those with small and infinite (because unexpected) related to the lives of everyone. The photography is often the appropriate medium to record the signs and understand feelings, fleeting impressions, traces of desire falls and educated in the most unexpected places, left free to move in the wind. The photograph is often also the easiest way to transmit something. The project becomes the project up as it is lived and the work goes on every time it is exposed, becoming part of a statement mild and quiet living in a different way each time. Since 2012 I have started to create installations and to paint, using materials of different types, such as fabrics, pages, tissue paper, transparent colors for glass, or glazes on plexiglass. Things are always connected to each other. I love transparent and light materials, ductile and evocative that let you imagine something beyond oneself, I love everything that looks liquid and that refers to the concept of memory and fluidity, so I love using different media, just to make the idea of change inexistent in the evolution of artistic research itself. Small objects, images, short texts, memory, Arianne's threads, all this is useful to reconstruct the plots of a life in constant change.
