THE APPLETREE of KNOWLEDGE

Collage: Charcoal, cardboard, plexiglas sheets of book, acrylic

I am working on the concept of recycling art, using natural elements to create art, rather than using only industrial fine art products.
All has been settled in a wooden box closed by a plastic glass as a reliquary of the Nature. All material used here are provided by plants weather growing today or which had been on earth a long time ago (petroleum products)

Here I am using charcoal (used for BBQ), to figure out a carbonized appletree. Appletree is used as a symbol of knowledge. Here the kwoledge is burnt as the Nature is burnt by our society. The background is made using piece of paper from book which then have been painted to express the dispareance of knowledge due to our global society destroying nature.

This box is a reliquary of the Nature, a reliquary that allows to bring back land art in our house. A reliquary of the today's disaster.
