This artwork is from the series Stimulated Being which aims to describe that energetic gulf between subject and stimulant, the moment of stimulation and the multiple vantages of stimulation. This is an image of the great Bose Satyendrenath who was a physicist specializing in mathematical physics. He collaborated with Albert Einstein on the theory of quantum statistics. The images come from a 1960's science LIFE book. The paper quality is satin and has beautiful colour. The work has been framed in .5 in' white frame made out of wood. It has a wire on the back and is ready to hang. It has been signed and dated on the back of the work.

I am a visual artist, curator and arts educator working from Vancouver, BC. In each of these areas, I focuses on art’s ability to assist us in forming and re-forming our understanding of the world. My work has explored ideas surrounding the ethnosphere and bringing visualization to the ethnosphere, a term coined by the cultural anthropologist Wade Davis, meaning, ‘the sum total of all thoughts and dreams, myths, ideas, inspirations, intuitions brought into being by the human imagination since the dawn of consciousness.’ Whether focusing on ideas of the ethnosphere, the spirit or ontology, my process is a research into the infinite fabrics that connect us. My last solo exhibition, Stimulated Being aimed to describe that energetic gulf between subject and stimulant, the moment of stimulation and the multiple vantages of stimulation. The exhibition included a series of illustrations of botanical stimulants that I was commissioned to make by the Faculty of Science at the University of British Columbia for an educational trading card game called Phylo. This process allowed me to explore connections between my personal practice with the stimulating effects of these botanicals. While forgoing a concentration on the immediate psychoactive or hallucinogenic connotations of this subject, I examined stimulation as a visceral sensation and phenomenon of understanding. Through the utilization of dated found imagery, I explored the Stimulated Being through the use of 1960’s LIFE material, accompanied by inked additions. I am the co-owner and co-curator at the Gam Gallery. I currently educate in the arts at Arts Umbrella, the Richmond Arts Center, and the Surrey School District and am an Artist Collaborator for the Vancouver Biennale.
