"We live because we remember, we live on because we hope," is a proverb I read when I was 13 years old. I cannot remember who it was from, but it shaped my life. It does exclude the joy of the moment, we still have. It focusses on our reflective, sometimes morbid moods. But there is something right about it and it makes us different from all other species on the planet. I think Justin Bieber has never thought about it, but that may only be my idea.
