Dalton dos Reis Romao, was born in Rio de Janeiro, in the Vila Isabel neighborhood in December of 1952. He began his artistic activities as a child inspired by comics. His penchant for the arts was very latent and that determined his future choices. At age of 19, he entered the School of Graphic Arts -SENAI RJ for the Graphics Projects course. There, under the influence of Free Drawing and Collage teacher, he began researching the Dadaism and Pop Art, falling in love by the work of Kurt Schwitters, Rauschenberg and Andy Wharol. As a reward for being one of the top-ranked students won a stage in the art department of the advertising agency J. Walter Thompson. After the stage he began acting as layoutman and illustrator in the Yellow Pages which drew logos, stickers and related. Developed as an illustrator and returned to the world of advertising. It was his way of living at the time, put out his talent with paints and brushes. He was later promoted to art director and won several awards in various agencies where he served for a long time. As life happens in cycles, the need to breathe art spoke up and the child inspirations returned in force determining his current choices. He returned to devote to it likes and is now participating in the Virtual 1st Biennial of Contemporary Art in Brazil with digital artwork, which is what today uses for his experiments. Recognized the good work it has been doing Dalton Romao was selected by the International Art Book with 4 works. The Tower, The Letter, The Car and Lyrics Trapped. The book will be circulating in Europe probably in June now.
