About The Artwork

stolen metro drawing mixed up with rubbish found in the street (plastic bag) manifesto > Like a child gleaning a seashell on the beach, or a homeless detective straight out of The City of Glass, he leans over to pick up a rubbish. This rubbish, he’ll keep it as a precious treasure. Later he’ll try an alchemy, in his white notebook with yellow pages. Drawings will come to populate these bits of fractionated plastics, sublime scrap, and unintentional perfect folds. These are stolen drawings in the subway. People sleeping or absorbed by the screens. Some look out the window on the train, as if they were going to start talking to their reflected-ghost. Initially he wanted to restore a link between the humans he drew. This utopian fiction was quickly stifled by the hotchpotch of plastic, cardboard and aluminum spreading in his collages. A bit like our world capsizing in the 7th continent, engulfed by our rejections. He likes working with paper ruins, broke, because their shapes are often unexpected. As for the contours of the cut object, they redefine its space and offer it a second skin. He dares to hope that unfinished lines leave room for imagination. He imagines himself as a Don Quixote of the line that shims, defending the ink stains against the Mills of perfection from Adobe. It is undoubtedly a little reactionary to say but in a world that bend over voyeurism, it is sometimes pleasant to display a certain opacity, a mystery, a secret. He likes to draw veiled women for example. Without any ideological hindsight. It's simply an aesthetic drive. They make him think of Moebius' science fiction characters or Miyazaki's ghosts. As for beauty, it is usually difficult to draw. It inspires respect. And He is often absent to the world, while being present in his. In the moon, isolated and stunned.
