ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My interests and experience with graffiti, street art, islamic art, geometric form, constructivism, environmentalism and the Fallas all come together within this work. Using advertising material as the base upon which to build a pictorial language, I draw from the forms that characterises graffiti calligraphy. Devoid of any letters, the angular archetypical forms, are as much about mark-making as they are about the blending of cultures, and the constant building of cultural material upon that which preceded it.
