Description/inspiration of work: This is a one of two separate works that hark back to the 'Biomorphia Series we introduced some time agao" . In this small series, We're exploring simple geometric shapes in relation to one another via blending modes and color/tint application. This time, a somewhat limited palette using bright, but chromatically complimentary values will be used, but still focusing the Julian Fractal Algorithm. This next offering is titled - - ' Bouquet of Iris. A Julian quad motif with highly stylized "Irises" at the bases of the quadrilateral arms. The usual tiny interior fractal geometries are present. This work has intriquing looping folds of shaded gradation the roughly follow the contour of the central motif. The sage green and medium violet colors in this work are quite complimentary. Also the roughened, look of the entire work has its particular allure.
