Dark Lotus Artwork

"Dark Lotus" This painting was based on my most recent sale, "Lotus of Hope". However, this one is totally different from its "original version". Here I wanted to highlight a completely black Lotus flower, surrounded by beautiful cold colors. I did this because I wanted to show how something we think is negative can be beautiful at the same time. I believe that the fact that something is dark and gloomy may seem to be connected to something negative... But here I wanted to show exactly the opposite! It is true that all of us have gone through stages in life when we did not know what to do when everything seemed dark, gloomy, and lifeless... But if we look carefully, we realize that there is always a positive point in our history, in the history of each one of us. I wanted to paint this work of art to show that the negative side also has its positive points! To remind ourselves to see the positive in the negative. I hope this painting can bring you hope! It's something cold and dark, but its meaning is beautiful and extremely positive! Bruno Barreira
