In 1996, the most respected print news outlet, The New York Times, faced criticism for surrendering to digital pressures and launching an electronic version. Many condemned this decision, suggesting that long-term traditions would be forgotten. Others were simply afraid of change. 25 years have passed. The whole world has changed towards digitization. Should we be afraid of this if it is inevitable? My painting is also digitally created to highlight how the traditional art forms we are used to are closely intertwined with the new digital world. Digitization. Limited Edition 1 / 5 Abstraction in New Media technique by Calinicenco Iryna (Cairyna) from Moldova, Chisinau. This original is sold only as a print on canvas without stretcher, without fastening elements. Original print will be sent with a hand-signed. The original print is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity with a detailed description and a unique artwork accession number. The painting is sold unframed so that it is convenient for you to choose the frame design that is most in harmony with your interior. The original print will be carefully packed and sent by fast postal service. You can also order a print at a low price in excellent quality (without the author's signature). Iryna Calinicenco (Cairyna), 1984 Ukraine/Moldova. Iryna works at the intersection of Mixed Media and New Media techniques - by combining drawing, photography, collage and exposure to chemicals on the drawing. Plus the final digital manipulation. In Iryna's work over the years one can notice an increasing bias toward realism, an accent on semi-figurative images. She depicts distortions, as she does not believe in straightness and flatness of all things. Combines photography, drawing, and digital manipulation to emphasize structure and detail previously unnoticed by anyone else. Shows the difference between reality and her understanding of the image of reality, and proves that the truth is always subjective. Iryna's paintings are mostly semi-figurative, stylized to a greater or lesser extent, gravitating toward abstract aesthetics and naive imagery. Line and color are presented as something prevailing over form. It is a kind of play with the imagination and a flirtation with the viewer's fantasy. Working at the intersection of abstraction and figurativeness, using unusual materials, Iryna does not seek external harmony and beauty of the image, she plays with perspective and canons. In this way she reformats the viewer's aesthetic and emotional space from "I like - I don't like" to "I accept - I don't accept". In her works, Iryna emphasizes the duality of perception, encouraging the viewer to think and search for a different meaning. Get into the game and fantasize together with Cairyna!
