Seb Genikov aka ExodusLooper is a California native who has transplanted their creative practice to Pennsylvania most recently where they are making process-based paintings, video art, zines and live sound media. Offering thought provoking, visually charged abstractions that push-pull vividly between boundaries of traditional art forms embracing nontraditional media as primary ethos and dedication. Drawing inspiration from tropes of postwar American gestural painting, Abstract painting invoked by magick ritual and synesthesia. These influences have both a foundation and a foil for their own vision. Through their work, Seb engages with feminist and queer critiques of the discourses of mastery, genius, and power, challenging traditional notions of authority and inviting viewers to question the status quo.
