Born in France, Pierre Amour grew up experimenting with various techniques of artistic expression, finding his creativity in paintings and drawings. Amour continued to develop his innate talents by studying and working in Paris for several years. Forging a successful path in fashion design, he relocated to New York in 2015. This new environment inspired Amour's return to his earliest passions, which continues to drive his ambition and vision for his growing body of work. Challenging the rationality of structural designs with the abstract application of his signature scribbled approach, Amour keeps exploring ways to express his vision of the world and what he sees as the complexity of the mind and body. Deeply sensitive to the connection people create with themselves and others, Pierre Amour is of the belief that beauty lives in the intricacies of life, those that constantly evolve over time based on our own perspectives and experiences. “The greatest quality that people share is singularity. And if singularity finds its beauty and power in its complexity, I hope that people find their own same qualities, in the complexity of the singularity I enjoy to share.”
