When making pictures of various kinds I generally put my iTunes on shuffle, which means I never know what’s coming next. I'd just started the drawing for this one when two very appropriate songs and one modern classical piece came on, one after the other, and all three fitted it so well that I borrowed the title of one of them for the picture. After completing the drawing to my satisfaction I then digitised it in certain home-grown ways and added colour to create the finished image you see here.

After initially working as a photographer in London and Paris, then a colour printer specialising in experimental imagery, I eventually began to draw and paint. While I’ve made hundreds of paintings, these days I often use digital technology to alter some of them. I also make pen and charcoal drawings on large sheets of paper with a view to enhancing, reshaping and colouring them digitally. Until now I’ve not publicly displayed many of these, imagining that digital images might not be considered ‘true art’. However, I have at last come to terms with this – ‘art’ is ever-changing, ever-developing, after all – and am now showing (and offering for sale in print form) some of these here on Saatchi Art.
