My name is Fabrizio Bidoli, I live in Friuli Venezia Giulia in a medieval village called Clauiano, a small hamlet in the municipality of Trivignano Udinese. I am a self-taught artist, I signed myself KORFU in 2014 when I met a Zen Monk after a day dedicated to carrying out meditative experiences and art. It was he who named me Korfu, explaining to me that the meaning of this word is “love anyway”. Based on this reason I chose to appropriate this name and from that moment on I signed myself Korfu". Since I was a child, for me, painting, manipulating shapes and colors, was a cosmos that fascinated me and to which I felt attracted. At school, in middle school, I was lucky enough to meet a capable teacher, Aldo Fornaro: he directed me, but, I repeat, my education was individual, selective, but trying, at the same time, to maintain my own research , my personality, my style I live in these graphics in mixtures of color, energy, light, limit and threshold of the world, revelation of an interior Cosmos that never succumbs to the irrational impulse, but presents itself as a dialogue with the most hidden and secret self, it is the world rendered in its more ancient nature such as Cosmos to be deciphered and understood from experience the symbols grow and saturate in a bright and vivifying chromatism with traits of virtuosity smug mastery of matter, I see the light because I am an optimist but I do not forget what was the darkness gray and black. Mi chiamo Fabrizio Bidoli, vivo in Friuli Venezia Giulia in un borgo medievale che si chiama Clauiano piccola frazione del comune di Trivignano Udinese. Sono un artista autodidatta, mi firmo KORFU nel 2014 quando ho incontrato un Monaco Zen dopo una giornata dedicata allo svolgimento di esperienze meditative e arte. È stato lui che mi ha denominato Korfu, spiegandomi che il significato di questa parola è “ama comunque”. Sulla base di questa ragion ho scelto di appropriarmi di tale denominazione e da quel momento mi firmo Korfu». Sin da bambino, per me dipingere, manipolare forme e colori, era un cosmo che mi affascinava e dal quale mi sentivo attratto.
