This work is part of a series of five prints that explore the cyclic rhythm of the Sun and the Moon in an evocative seascape, depicting their alternation between the sky and the sea, where they take refuge when they are not visible on the horizon. This particular abstract representation captures the bright Sun at its zenith, dominating the sky on a summer day, with its rays reflecting on the waves of the sea, while the Moon silently rests on the seabed. Created through digital processing of hand-drawn sketches on paper, the artwork captures the beauty and mystery of the interchange between sun and moon, inviting the viewer to reflect on the passage of time and the ever-changing beauty of nature. This print is part of a limited edition and is offered as Fine Art, printed on high-quality Hahnemühle paper and signed by the artist, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The original edition is available in a 16.5"x16.5" format, including the white band. The printed area measures 10.4".

Marco Raimondo(Genoa, 1961) is an artist based in Milan, where he delves into the interplay between traditional drawing techniques and innovative digital photo editing processes. Central to Raimondo's approach is "Digital Stain Immersion", an his own technique he has pioneered in which layers of a digitized artwork are "immersed" in digital color fields. Through selective adjustments of brightness, hue, contrast, and saturation, he creates an organic fusion between the colors and the underlying textures of the scanned paper. This method evokes a balance between digital precision and the rawness of traditional mediums, reflecting Raimondo’s background in electronic engineering. Raimondo's practice is rooted in automatic drawing, where his hand follows subconscious impulses, leaving behind forms and lines that serve as the foundation for further digital manipulation. His works blend form and color in a way that creates abstract narratives, often floating between dreamlike and geometric realms, urging viewers to engage with their own perceptions. Through these thematic explorations, Marco Raimondo's work bridges the gap between the conscious and subconscious, the visible and the invisible. His creations invite viewers into evocative worlds, where personal interpretation and open-ended exploration are key. His dynamic use of form, color, and texture offers a contemplative space in which the complexities of identity, reality, and existence are explored in depth. Building upon the foundation of his abstract artistry, Marco Raimondo also delves into the realm of female portraiture, blending traditional methods with cutting-edge digital techniques, including artificial intelligence. His portraits, infused with depth and introspection, beckon viewers to. further ponder the complexities of the human mind. His artistic journey began under the guidance of his mother, a passionate ceramist, who nurtured his passion for drawing and color since childhood, fostering numerous visits to art exhibitions and museums both locally and internationally.
