About The Artwork

A series of digital illustrations "Postcards from Ukraine" were created in march 2022 as a reaction to russia’s full-scale invasion into Ukraine. On them, I depicted cities, damaged from russian aggression, in the form in which they were “before”. Photographs from the list of Destroyed Cultural Heritage of Ukraine and news became references for the project. Characterized by joyful patterns and bright palettes, the series stresses nonetheless the horrific tragedy which is now happening in Ukraine. The images are intended to preserve the memory of places that now are devastated by russian bombing. The series contains 24 illustrations. 20% of each purchase I will send for Ukraine's restoration.
