About The Artwork
My limited edition archival pigment prints explore a purely pictorial reality of elemental geometric and organic forms, the interaction of color and pattern, overlapping shapes, organized within symmetrical and asymmetrical compositions. My prints combine digitally manipulated photographic elements captured with an iPhone camera and an optical scanner.

Herman Mhire is an artist, educator, curator and arts administrator. As Founding Director of the Hilliard Art Museum he collaborated with the Eskew+Dumez+Ripple architectural firm of New Orleans and M. Goodwin Museum Planning of Los Angeles on the museum design which won numerous national and regional awards including the 2005 American Institute of Architects National Honor Award, and was published in Architectural Record and “U. S. Architecture” Braun Publishing, Berlin.
