10 Years of Moleskine Drawings Drawing

For ten years, from 2002 to 2012, I worked almost exclusively in Moleskine sketchbooks. There are 12 books in total with approximately 50 drawings in each book. I numbered every page of every book and never tore one out. I signed each drawing as soon as it was finished and never retouched one that was signed. When I reached the end of the book, I went back and forced myself to complete and sign any unfinished pages before starting a new book. I brought these books with me wherever I went. I worked on them in hotel rooms, on air planes, in tents, at cafes, at home and in my studio. During these years, I lived in Brooklyn, Buenos Aires, Beijing, Kunming, and Santa Teresita, and visited many other places along the way. I never let anyone touch or see the books until they were finished, taken apart, scanned, and reassembled into binders in clear, acid-free protective covers. They are all in excellent condition. I couldn't post all of the drawings here on Saatchi Art, but the rest are available for viewing on my website, www.heathergoodwind.com. While I now use loose paper and canvas, I still work in sequentially numbered series, and still follow the the same rules I applied to the Moleskine books.
