Yorkshire born and bred. favourite medium is oil, so beautiful, love creating beautiful blended colours with it, sometimes a little acrylic is needed. I'm what's termed as a naive artist, which isn't as bad as it sounds if your not familiar with the term. I do tend to go all out, then nothing for months, but once I've started on a piece I obsessively take every spare minute to complete it. Driven by the colours and any inspiration I can find. Although saying that, my biggest painting on canvas is still a work in progress a year on. Mainly work on canvas or board. Class myself as an impressionist/expressionist my favourite artist is Vincent of course. I have painted a couple of his starry nights in my own eyes, but they are not on here. I didn't start painting till I was in my mid 40's, I work for my local hospital and there is always art work displaying the corridors, some good work from local artists, but I thought I can do better ( or different) I feel I have achieved that in the few pieces I've done. Always strive for more though. Colours are just lush to make sometimes. More to come from me....
