Art Description

Drawing: Graphite, markers, gold leaf, embossing on Canvas, Paper.

I am a realist in the sense that I develop an image according to what is already done on the page. I sought among the lines like CSI on a crime scene. My art is not about envisioning to document from thin air like most artists. Like abstract expressionism, I let the lines fall. I go beyond and find it unnecessary to add blobs and splashes to balance the work. Like calligraphy, the original lines are already balanced.

Art is all about a way of seeing. I am presenting a different way. My approach is to compare and select adjacent shapes that work together. I highlight to bring about something otherwise you don’t see. I ask a million questions based on the possibility of combinations. If these two shapes were linked together, would the result be better than the other two? What if these two shapes link with half of the other one, would the result speak more eloquently? These two curves blend and made an eye here, now where is the nose and lips?

And after hours and hours of pondering and considering, an image comes about and show fate and destiny, telling stories of a different realm.
