His work focuses on the analysis of beauty and aesthetics found in different subjects; exploring the contrariness, duality and tensions between male and female, life and death, the figurative and the abstract, among others. Marcelo does not consider himself tied to a specific technique, it all depends on what he feels at that time and the results to be obtained. He gets bored easily, so has the need to change, evolve and experiment. "To me art is capable of producing beauty that reality is not capable of, where everything can be beautiful regardless of gender or whether has life or not. I am inspired by the human figure, androgyny and nature, especially flowers." Currently Arenas gathers material for his next exhibition, becoming known in the art scene in Mexico.
