This drawing is a tribute to the great Ayrton Senna da Silva. Senna is regarded as one of the greatest racing drivers to ever live. He was a triple world champion in Formula One for Mclaren, and was noted for his prodigious skills in qualifying, wet-weather driving and overtaking. Senna inspired a generation of sports fans through a complete belief in his own abilities and his right to win. He died on the 1st of May 1994 as a result of injuries sustained from a crash at the San Marino Grand Prix. Senna is remembered as one of the most charismatic and influential sportsmen of his time, and a national icon in his native Brazil. "I am not designed to come second or third. My name is Michael Nicholson, and I am a 21 year old artist from Adelaide, Australia. I have been painting for around 5 years, without any formal training. I attended secondary school at St. Peter's College, and am finishing degrees in Law and Media at the University of Adelaide.
