About The Artwork

Inspired by the waves of change and our interconnectedness with all that exists. This artwork is about change, progress, duality and the web of life. In this series of refined gesture drawings, the artist explores themes like spirituality, meditation and transcendental experiences, ancient goddesses and African contemporary art. But maybe most of all, this is a celebration of the female figure and the power which is available to all women, across all cultures, beliefs and races world-wide. An unstoppable force of healing compassion and unconditional love. Materials: Conte à Paris and Faber-Castell Gold and Silver pens on black Fabriano acid free drawing paper, 300 g/m2. Sealed with Faber-Castell fixative and signed by artist on verso.

Elínrós Díanadóttir is a London-based Swedish/Icelandic spiritual artist, meditation guide, writer, and orcle-maker with a focus on spiritual experiences, explorations, and adventures; a self-announced 'soul explorer'. With painting, guided meditations, recorded prayers, articles, music and more, Elínrós' intention is to inspire, uplift, and connect on a soul-level with everyone who comes in touch with her work. Artist Statement: "In art, life is allowed to be as poetic and unreal as it truly is, when we look beyond the physical and the obvious. Art is my way of actively creating a physical reality capable of reflecting the unseen worlds; I merge the invisible and intangible with the mundane and obvious, by morphing the familiar and the mysterious. My current series of drawings in gold, silver and black is inspired by the spiritual and emotional experiences I have had over the last year, starting with a trip to a temple in India. Connections with spirit, nature, emotions and the divine in its many forms, strengthened by meditation, yoga and various healing practices, are expressed in shapes, relations, contrasts, movements and lines."
