b. 1978, Virginia, MN, USA Live and work in St. Paul, MN I use mostly ink and watercolor to create my pieces. This is a medium that can cause mistakes and spills and messiness. A permanent flaw. These imperfections inspire me to move in unexpected directions. Without them, the pieces become static and cold. I will often take these drawings and paintings, sever them from their paper surroundings, mutilate them and collage them with other imperfections. They become characters. The combinations become snippets of a story. The end result, when everything comes together, is what really intrigues me.
