Hello! My name is Olena Zhyhaltsova. I am originally from Ukraine, but I moved to Norway in 2022. I do not have a formal art education. I am a self-taught artist, but I have been passionate about painting since childhood. In my youth, I often painted portraits of my friends and acquaintances, as well as copies of classical paintings. By profession, I am a teacher. I have a higher education as a primary school teacher, with a specialization in music and singing. I have five children, and because of this I did not have the opportunity to draw for a long period of time. Now all my children are adults, so I decided to devote more time to developing my artistic abilities. As before, I love painting portraits, creating copies of classical paintings, and depicting nature. I work mainly in the styles of realism and photorealism. In 2025 I participated in the London Art Biennale, an international contemporary art exhibition held in London. Here I present several of my works.
