About The Artwork

One in a series of three small works created in 2021 with acrylic paint and charcoal on 270g archival quality paper. This abstract urban landscape painting was inspired by brutalist architecture and fever dreams of a slow moving polka dotted blob. A solid cream background with an arrangement of high contrast black and white geometric shapes and a neutral colored curvy mass with polka dots complete the composition. Initialed on the back, comes with the frame pictured, ready to hang. The frame is solid maple, very light with a slight rose color and has an acrylic front. Ships flat in a box from Hamburg. Standard A4 paper size: 21 x 29.7 cm (8.3 x 11.7 in)

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

Working mostly in acrylic paint on canvas, I make minimal compositions with sprinklings of high contrast patterns and color. My process is a repetition of addition and subtraction, pedaling between the abstract and figurative. Inspired by the rigid lines of Agnes Martin and organic forms of Eva Hesse, I also adore fantasy films, surrealism, brutalist architecture and a really smooth gradient. Sometimes I set my paintings in motion; I'm also an illustrator and animator creating works under digital pseudonym We Throw Rocks. Based out of a poorly heated–yet cozy attic studio bordering the icy waters of Northern Europe.
