About The Artwork
Using a Sharpie on card stock, I wanted to represent how we're all connected. Whether it's through a spiritual connection, a unified group, a common bond, we all are one. I began by doing continuous loops, then gave each a face. A dark side and a light side, perhaps representative of our inner nature, we have both good and bad in us, or even a yin yang tendency. Everyone interprets it how they see fit.

I graduated with my BFA in Studio Art from Colorado Mesa University in May of 2013. I found my voice with portraiture and figurative work using oils and acrylics on canvas and panels. My work is filled with energy and expression and my color palette ranges from hazy deep purples to bright red and orange hues. My growth as an artist at CMU was filled with experimentation that led to my current direction of realism mixed with abstraction.
