I wrote this text to express the inspiration I had for Contemplation:
The sunset is gently warming the air of a park in Beijing, and on a stone pavement someone is moving a big brush with great skill. If you would know the Chinese language, you could recognize those special characters: they are not only words, they are poems, freely composed and written on the stone, with a big brush dipped in water. A couple of minutes and the poems are gone, while new ones are being written.
Likewise, you contemplate the clouds floating in the sky, the branches of a tree moving in the wind, a piece of divine music being played. A few seconds and everything changes, new shapes and sounds replace others. There is no apparent utility in these actions, however, the poems have been written, the sky has been seen, the wind has been felt, the music has been enjoyed: you have earned them all, together with a lot of space for yourself.
