"Contemplative Nude" captures the raw and unfiltered essence of human vulnerability through the delicate interplay of watercolor and form. The figure, seated and partially turned, exudes a sense of introspection and quiet strength. The muted palette emphasizes the mood of contemplation. Soft washes and bold, expressive brushstrokes highlight the figure's curves and contours, blending seamlessly into the abstract background. The interplay of light and shadow creates a sense of depth and dimension, drawing the viewer into the internal world. This piece invites a deep emotional connection, evoking themes of self-acceptance, resilience, and the beauty of the human form in its most honest state. Ideal for collectors who appreciate contemporary figurative art with a touch of abstraction, "Contemplative Nude" adds a profound and reflective element to any space. Ink, paper.

My name is Oleksandra and I grew up in Ukraine, in the industrial city of Donbas, where handmade mountains were built after coal processing, and quarries with azure water appeared where mercury mining used to be. I always wanted to paint real green mountains and blue waters. Despite being surrounded by industrial landscapes and science, my artistic journey is a continuous quest to capture the beauty and purity of nature. I am nearsighted and see the world in patches of color. Often the blurred forms can be read in different ways, everyone finds a personal reading in certain shapes and colors. Not what the artist sees, but something of their own. I, even just in life, have visual deceptions. I see flowers on the lawn, which turns out to be a discarded ice cream wrapper. You can see the world as it is, or you can see it through the prism of your consciousness, your inner world. Due to my experience and perception of the world, I want to see only beautiful things, where even objects typically overlooked can appear attractive. The main mediums are painting, drawing, and photography, I work with watercolor, ink, and pastel.
