About The Artwork

In 2008 I was given an opportunity to exhibit in the public gallery at Fermilab National Accelerator Lab near Batavia IL, with a series of landscapes that were done specifically for the show titled "Earthworks". Fermilab is a nuclear physics research facility and particle accelerator, built in Illinois in1967. The series of 10 pastel landscape drawings were of the rural midwestern landscape that featured elements of advancements of technological development into it. This particular image was taken from a photo during a controlled prairie burn inside the accelerator ring at Fermilab.
