Print Shop/ Commission Inquiries: I’m a colored pencil artist out of Brooklyn NY. I studied environmental studies and studio art at Vassar college and work full time in ocean and climate conservation at Parley for the Oceans. I was never a notebook doodler. I could never draw under pressure, and I still can’t. Yet as a kid I would lock myself in my room in a hyper focus stupor and emerge days later with a finished piece and a vague recollection of how I made it. Over the years I have mastered pulling together different worlds into harmony. I was an athlete and a singer, an environmentalist and an artist. It’s only natural that I’d be drawn to two seemingly disparate styles - realism and abstraction. I thought these styles would never coexist harmoniously in my work. However, through exploration, I have discovered a beautiful connection. As I draw I focus on color, shape, texture and movement. In essence i’m creating hundreds, thousands of mini abstract drawing. The joy for me is in the process, and it’s a bonus when I zoom out and find I’ve created an almost tangible object. I work out of my small Brooklyn apartment where I infuse every corner with my creations and creations of others that inspire and breathe life and color. My hope is to create elevated works that coexist with adulthood while inspiring our inner child and bringing back lost memories that ignite the senses of sight, smell, taste and touch. A very close friend and mentor of mine says something along the lines of  ‘pay attention to what makes your heart beat faster’. This work, for me, embodies that advice.
