About The Artwork

The drawing belongs to a series of works with the same theme created under the strong influence of avant-garde artist's of the twentieth century. The artist draws inspiration from various sources, transposing the artistic heritage: cubism, surrealism, expressionism. Familiar motifs from the history of art are given a new context, life, form and meaning. The intersection of artistic styles becomes a new source of renewal and strenght. The drawing is not anatomically precise but free, fanciful, intuitive, random, often the result of research between figural representation and abstraction. The artist paints his models caught in the middle of everyday activity, dramatizing, enlarging the portrait and making deformations of their anatomy, thus showing female sexuality in a very aggressive way. In these portraits of women, the artist tries to express feelings, desires and projections that are connected with the female body and especially with its sexual magnetism.

Serbian contemporary artist, designer and decorator. He is best known to the general public for his design works created in relation to artistic research from fine art to applied art (design) with the aim of problematizing and pointing out the absence of strict boundaries between them in contemporary artistic expression. These works are characterized by an interest in postmodernist ornamentalism and a mixture of historical styles taken from modern art. Various conflicting stylistic codes from the history of contemporary art allow mutual transformations. It is actually about artistic creativity that erases the boundaries and differences between high and popular art, between fine art and folk art.
