ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Produced during a residency in North Brittany, this unique work is a collage composed of a monotype and acrylic paint on paper. It evokes the granite coastline cut between the Capes of Erquy and Frehel. The light shimmers on the sea, and we are at the water's edge, under a summer sun. In this work, I seek to capture the ephemeral essence of distant horizons where sky and sea merge. Using acrylic, collage and ink, I create textures and layers that evoke the tranquillity of a semi-abstract landscape, tinged with impressionism and minimalism. It's an invitation to contemplation, to reflect on the finesse and beauty of natural transitions, inspiring peace and serenity in any domestic space. The work is titled, dated and signed on the back. The glue used for the collage is pH neutral to ensure the work will last.
