Ezra K was born in the pretty rural countryside outside of Melbourne, Victoria. Drawing for as long as he can remember, Ezra K has always taken solace in the natural environment around him, particularly curious encounters with animal friends and strange visions in the night sky. He has always been most inspired by his dreams, and inhabits this world more than most others. Ezra's passion for science-fiction, comics and skateboarding also infuse his art with an extra dash of madness, chaos and fun. He now lives in the mountainous area of Hobart, Tasmania, a thriving art capital. His continuous wonder at finding himself living this human life in a strange body informs his evolving creative practice. Ezra K has found employment in a variety of creative fields, from illustration, poster art and t-shirt design, to designing and creating animated elements for television commercials, websites and independent short films, most frequently as a storyboard artist. He had his first solo exhibition in 2013 where many of the works sold to private collections around Australia. "Like the abstract logic of dreams, so are our emotions, tentatively choreographing an idea, a desire for a fixed state of forward progress. But it's always a conglomeration of enigmatic small parts. Out of our control, to break the conditioning and those effectors in our hearts and minds. To accept chaos as the natural order, love, loss, desire and negation. What is a common reality?"
