Double Rothkos at MoMA, iPad Drawing, 2015. 16" X 16" (*OSD ) w. 2" margin $150.00 | Edition of 12 A drawing, early Wednesday morning in April of the iconic + famed double paintings by Mark Rothko hanging in the permanent collection of MoMA ( Museum of Modern Art, NYC ). Drawn on-site from the wings of the gallery - standing, examining and sketching with my stylus on my iPad iii. This drawing, along with others; also available -from an iPad drawing series entitled New York New Work. The exhibition's starting point was New York. Each work from the series was drawn on my iPad. The iPad is a great medium, offering intimacy and a new kind of immediacy it brings to artists who, like me, love to draw. It is a very liberating medium. The iPad’s portability and light weight, works can be conceived and executed anywhere — a park bench, a couch in a shoe store, in the street — or wherever inspiration strikes. Essentially, it allows one to work effectively while on the move; there is no waiting for paint to dry, no inking up a plate, not even a need to sharpen pencils! You can make a drawing at two o’clock in the afternoon and send it to your printer by four PM. Details: Printed on Arches 340/gm2 Archival Paper Blind-stamped by the Artist in L.L.H.Corner.
