This work is inspired by my work as a medical doctor in Africa. In dermatology I come across many skin conditions and I have seen the stigma that comes with it especially vitiligo and this is why I created EBUN. To serve as a means of public awareness and to tackle the social stigma associated with vitiligo in Africa. The image is inspired by one of my patients in the clinic who just started seeing her patches from the condition and her very worried parents. I hope creating this helps in making her feel better and not left out and the same for every one with any skin condition out there. Proceeds from sale of works inspired by my patients go to them and also to the community work that I do with the Foladavid foundation.
