Fallen Angel Drawing

I used recycled wrapping paper that I partly covered with acryl paint to create a patina in the background. This stone effect - like a fresco - was ideal to make this portrait that I wanted to appear at the surface like an ancient fresco. Small dark and white lines create an impressionist manner. I wanted to focus on the sensuality of the mouth and the seduction of the eyes. The upper part of the head dissapears in the background. The whole athmosphere transports you in the ancient times, the Pompei ruins. I like the idea of a fallen angel, more like a spiritual beeing than a man. The paper is damaged on purpose. I don't want to paste it on a thikker paper. I love it this way : it's fragile.
