Asta Kulikauskaite Krivickiene was born in 1973. She studied at the Vilnius Academy of Arts where she received her Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1998 and her Master of Fine Art in 2000. Since then she stayed in Vilnius, continued creating paintings and worked as an art editor, illustrator and designer. In 2016 she moved to Luxembourg, where she do her everyday practice in painting. She also illustrates children books and gives private art classes. For Asta art is both a pathway to her inner world and a means to share her feelings, dreams, innate tendencies, fantasies and desires with the outside world. In the creative process she first observe the unique world of images, sounds, forms and colors. The outer world, as manifested through music, surroundings, situations and encounters, is reflected in the abstracted form through her paintings. Presently Asta find nature in all its forms, shapes and colors as the ultimate source of her inspiration. She tries to convey through her paintings the ideas of immensity, beauty, serenity, mystery, light and darkness. Asta experiment with a variety of techniques and artistic media, such as oil, acrylic and watercolor paints, Chinese ink and mixed media. She also works in traditional printmaking techniques. Asta's work has been exhibited in Lithuania, as well as Luxembourg, Germany, Belgium, Finland and Poland. Asta's work can be found in numerous private collections around the world.
