Luckily she had kept this photo of her cruise indulgence. It has been her constant companion since things went skew whiff. She always starts from the bottom right solid tiled floor and slowly allows her eyes to meander up, across, and up across again and through and around, each time remembering all the successes she had achieved. She is about to nestle back into the negative of this photo so that she can re-emerge in that safe respectable status. Only this time, the water is under the ship rather than the bridge. She feels the massive sigh as it wafts past her shoulder. She thinks she can actually see it emanating in the photo.
