Göttingen St John's Church 2011 The pencil drawing in black and white shows a street view focussing on the architecture around St. John's Church in Göttingen. The church itself is the central element of the artwork and is depicted with impressive attention to detail. The two striking towers of St John's Church rise into the sky and dominate the scene. A street can be seen in the foreground of the drawing, which forms a natural eye-catcher and leads the viewer directly to the church. Historical buildings can be seen on both sides of the street, reflecting the charm and architecture of Göttingen's historic centre. These buildings are carefully sketched, with clear lines that emphasise the structure and the various architectural details. The drawing features a fine gradation of shading achieved through the skilful use of pencil strokes. This adds depth and dimension to the artwork, creating a realistic impression of light and shadow. The textures of the buildings, the street and the vegetation are differentiated by pencil strokes of varying thickness and density, giving the drawing a lively and dynamic quality. The scene appears calm and timeless, captured in a moment of everyday life, without people or vehicles, which draws the viewer's attention to the architectural beauty and historical heritage of the surroundings. St. John's Church is at the centre of the image as a symbol of Göttingen's rich history and culture.

I am Natascha Peters and I have been living in Germany since 1994. My artistic journey began when I was in the fifth grade, and since then, I have been passionate about drawing and painting. Additionally, I completed four years at an art school to further enhance my artistic skills. Architectural structures and nature are my main sources of inspiration, significantly influencing my creative work. My enthusiasm for art led me to study architecture with a focus on building construction, allowing me to turn my passion into a profession. I experiment with various techniques such as watercolor, tempera, acrylic, chalk, charcoal, and pencil. However, my primary focus is on oil and acrylic painting. When I paint and draw, I let my imagination and creativity run free, creating works that reflect my passion and dedication.
