For this serie, it all started on fb when I read a comment about a neo-folk group that was accused of being too provocative with some extremist symbols. So I searched on Youtube some music about that band and, little by little, I lost my way to finally found myself watching a Russian documentary about Germany that secretly built UFOS during the Second World War. That video was also talking about a secret military base in Alaska, where that real or fake technology would be hidden. So I’ve been so amused and fascinated by that crazy story that I decide to consider it as a pure science fiction rumor and use the video to make screen captures to transform them into posters. So for me it’s like working on History, not the real one but the History you can find on internet, with all the incredible or crazy mythologies invented by bored humans craving for new beliefs. I guess I was really bored those 3 days when I watched in a row a 55 mn documentary for catching the pictures I needed, then to transform them in something different, mysterious and obscure. But the cool thing is that from a comment on fb, I made a whole art work serie about a theme (UFOS) that I re-discovered by accident under an improbable angle. Poster, signed and numeroted 1 on 5. Superposition of several (mostly two) different images that create a new space for story telling. This work can be considere as a digital collage. Creating that image for me means that I'm searching harmony between shapes, colors and the potentiel story that can born from the pictures superposition or association.
