About The Artwork

Light cool grey coloured pencil on archival 150g grey paper. 55 x 91.5 cm (21.65 x 36 inches) One in a series of six minimal drawings from a group of work which reflects on the duality of the balloon as a symbol for romantic flight as well as a powerful tool of displacement. A gore is a panel, a segment of a hot air balloon envelope, the shape was produced in a group of six to represent a full canopy pattern. Acid free tape is on the corners of the backside of the paper as well as pencil swatches - none are visible from the front. Original ships in a tube from Hamburg.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

Working mostly in acrylic paint on canvas, I make minimal compositions with sprinklings of high contrast patterns and color. My process is a repetition of addition and subtraction, pedaling between the abstract and figurative. Inspired by the rigid lines of Agnes Martin and organic forms of Eva Hesse, I also adore fantasy films, surrealism, brutalist architecture and a really smooth gradient. Sometimes I set my paintings in motion; I'm also an illustrator and animator creating works under digital pseudonym We Throw Rocks. Based out of a poorly heated–yet cozy attic studio bordering the icy waters of Northern Europe.
