ABOUT THE ARTWORK

My style is called as Safa Büte Art.. This is a new style… While creating I only reflect my feelings of a subject or nothing. My style has thousand and thousand of dots and lines in it and many of the figures hiden in it. You look at, and you look at again. How many times you look at you find another figures and dreams in the work. There is no change to make mistake while creating due to not possible to erease. So I work much carefully while creating. My name is voted in Time Magazine as Most inf Artists of the World last 100 years. (Time 100). In 2003 my style got the 4th price at Florence Biennial in Italy. You can also read what the art historian and critic John T. Spike’s critic at the Florence Biennial (below).. You can also get more info searching my name “Safa Bute” on internet. You can also visit my official web site CRITIQUE OF SAFA BUTE’S ART, By JOHN T. SPIKE, Art Critic and Historian December 10th 2003 at Florence Biennale of Contemporary Art “These pieces remind me of sacred works that were formerly kept in museums in drawer compartments. Such works would be taken out by scholars on occasions to be studied and meditated upon with increasing respect. “These drawings have an incredible level of skill. Literally thousands and thousands of finely drawn lines make up each image”, (Mr. Spike then pointed to his personal favourite piece and said to the audience)…”it probably contains ten thousand lines.” “These are drawings which take an inordinate amount of time to complete, and crucially, are utterly dependent upon the complete finesse in creating the lines without a single error. “The pieces show an astounding control of tonal values through the skillfull use of line. (Mr Spike demonstrated his point by pointing to the gradations in one of the works). “I consider them very exceptional pieces of work and will return to study them again”. By James Langston Art Educator Art Consulate for the Florence Biennale When I first met Safa I knew I had met an extraordinary artists because of the intrinsic quality found in his art works. Everyone walking by his display stopped and slowly slid into his intricate pieces. Each piece takes you into another time period; they seem to have been taken from some monastery study and made by monks under candlelight. Every image that Safa has made has the ability to leave an “after image” on your mind, forcing one to come back to look again. Can one work contain so much information, such strong emotions and a timeless quality? This man’s works do. I consider Safa Bute to be a master, a draughtsman of a long lost skill and one of the future legends of Art. SAFA BUTE Safa Bute, like his work, has inspired respect and admiration as he emerged from the obscurity of humble beginnings to become one of the most widely recognized and beloved artists in his homeland, Turkey. In the summer of 1987, Bute emerged as an artist and created the art technique now known throughout Turkey as the “Safa Bute Style”. Although Bute was unable to pursue the educational path he dreamed of as a child, he created a new style of art that has been the subject of increasing interest all over the world, as collectors in Europe and the USA follow his marks. Art critics reviewing exhibits agree that the style is unique. Now he is creating his art works at his studios located in Adana City and Tyana. AWARDS AND HONORS 2007, Director of the 1.
