Looking in a catalog I was struck by this this chair's feet and the similarity in shape of them with classical western women's boots. As far as I know them from westerns in movies that is. So I did some research and found these boots which fitted like al glove. By the way an original version of this chair is in the famous chair collection of the Technical University in Delft (Netherlands).

Ever since I can remember I'm drawing although I had no examples whatsoever in my childhood. I grew up on a small farm near Venlo in the the south of the Netherlands. The urge to draw finally lead to the Academie voor Beeldende Vorming Tilburg where I graduated in 1990 in drawing and painting.From that time on I am working on a collection mostly dominated by chairs depicted in very different ways. Perspective and perception are crucial elements in this never ending quest. These works are drawn with pencil or painted with watercolor. Still driven by my urge to draw.
