Above the celestial skies, lies a flat land that stretches maybe beyond space and time. No one knows what came first. Was it space, was it time, was it God or 'a' god. In a distant location located somewhere within the flat lands, lies a continent ruled by the ancient tree. The ancient tree is almost sentient, or maybe it once was, but currently it is a source of energy that is over looked by the overbearing elemental lords of the above level cyber cities. The cyber cities are dominantly upper class, bourgeoisie, hyper educated, intergalactic, untouchables, but not above the elemental lords. Those who live below the upper levels, called mid levels, are the Normal's, who are destined for eternal labor and servitude under the elemental lords. However the lords are fair to a degree where free housing is granted for all citizens of this district, but if one defies any one lord, their existence is erased without notice. The labor can range from physical to mental, but the hours are limited to a fixture that allows the Normal's to engage in social activities to promote health and well being. Below the Normal's level is Aqua city, a special administrative district that is almost free from the control of the elemental lords. Before the water levels rose, Aqua city was a barren desert. An ancient one from millenniums ago was said to have settled in where was once Aqua city, along with his followers who were trying to escape from persecution.The Ancient one was the entity that grew the ancient tree. A legend says that the Ancient one predicted a great eternal flood and prepared the settlers from the great flood. Some were protected by magical barriers which had an expiry date of a hundred years, and some climbed the treacherous mountain trenches or death. Those encapsulated in the barriers developed technology that preserved the barriers energy, enabling them to elongate their longevity indefinitely. Those who climbed the mountains settled in what is now the Mid levels.
