About The Artwork

This work was inspired from several reflections around the idea of body, soul and their complex connection. It speaks about the the simplicity and beauty of the body, which is not just a material component of us, but an instrument of the soul. The nude is incomplete because the adding of more details would be useless in this context, that praises simplicity and delicacy. The flowers and the youth represent the searched for, long awaited and necessary self-acceptance; they symbolize a spiritual age and state of mind. I hope the work will inspire self love and respect.
